OTH Tutorial: Alex Dupre Inspired.

Okay, so I've been slacking with posting products used and stuff for my recent tutorials, but I must say that I'm proud of myself in the sense that it has been less than a month since my last post, which if you're a regular follower of mine, proves to be a regular occurrence... (Apologises!) However, I feel as though I'm gradually getting better at posting regularly.

Anyway, this post is for my most recent OTH tutorial inspired by Alex Dupre. Again, she is a slightly newer addition to the series and I've grown to like her over the past weeks unlike my original thoughts of her character, which was she needed to go back to where ever it was she came from as quickly as possible! But that view is mostly due to the fact that I do not like change and she interrupted my little One Tree Hill family.

OTH Tutorial: Mia Catalano Inspired Makeup.

So here is the first of my One Tree Hill tutorials that I will be doing every Monday (until I run out of characters to do a tutorial for!). Mia is a singer in the series who was the first artist to sign with Red Bedroom Records (now you see where I got my YT name from, haha) which is Peyton's record label. She helps out with the label and has recently made a return to the series after going on tour with her new album.

Neutral Smokey Eye & Red Lip.

Okay so V Day is tomorrow and I know a lot of people are doing the generic pink and purple tutorials. I personally think that if you're going out for dinner or something, a smokey eye is going to be more sexy and flattering. I think if you show up for a date wearing pink eyeshadow then it is going to look like you're making to much of an effort with your makeup just for Valentines Day. But each to their own.

Favourites: January 2011.

So I'm getting better at this whole blogging idea. Before you had more chances of winning the lottery than seeing me update my blog. Ahhh, yes January favourites time. I haven't really been wearing much makeup this month at all. I've been a bit lazy to be completely honest with you.

The foundation I used the most was the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I prefer airbrushing my makeup on but it is just quicker in the morning to use liquid foundation. I use only a tiny amount because it is a heavy coverage foundation.

I really loved using the Bloom mineral blush in Peach. It is matte colour but it just makes my face look more radiant and awake. Bizarre product but if you can get your hands on it you should give it a go. I also loved using the ELF blush and bronzer duo (the one that is comparable to the Nars Laguna/Orgasm duo - even though they are nothing alike). The bronzer doesn't look muddy on the face nor does it look to shimmery so it is perfect for an everyday contour for me. The blush also make quite a few appearances of my cheeks this month. It gives a very lovely radiance to my skin and wakens me up a bit.

The Naked Palette, oh how I love you. I haven't really been wearing much eye makeup but when I wanted something extra my hand automatically reached for this. It is a life saver because there is no faffing around when it comes to the Naked palette. The colours I've been using the most this month are Naked, Buck and Darkhorse. Sometimes even a little bit of Sin or Sidecar (Virgin as my highlight goes without saying).

Revlon Double Twist Mascara has always been one of my favourites and I really loved using it again this month. Separates my lashes while thickening and giving them volume. It's not the most lengthening mascara but that isn't a problem for me as I have reasonably long lashes anyway. I also like using the Cargo Lash Activator. It is very thickening and I may just have to purchase the full size version.

I've been wearing bolder lips this month as the rest of the face has been neutral. I'm not one of those believers that dramatic eyes = nude lips, however I didn't want to look dead so I wore a No7 lip liner in red with my MAC Violetta lipstick. The lip liner is like in your face red which isn't my favourite but with the purple lipstick (no joke) it looks more magenta-y.

I've been loving my Paco Robanne Lady Million perfume that I got for Christmas. I wanted it for the longest time and now I can't stop wearing it.

Music! The one artist who stands out the most is Zachary Sterling. He is AMAZING. He was the only artist I listened to throughout my whole 10 hour art exam. He has an amazing soft but masculine voice. It's crazy. But anyway his YouTube username is zacharyxbinks. Go listen to him because he is awesome!

That's everything... I think.
